Our Story from The Founders
A Future Filled with Hope
Our founders, Samroon Michael and Maha Shafqat, were born in Pakistan and have personally experienced the challenges of being Christian in a nation with the second-largest Muslim population in the world. Both belonged to middle class families and grew up with the desire to serve the Christian community in Pakistan. Samroon grew up watching his parents as ministers of Christ and serving people. He also desired to do the same. He served as the Elected Board Member Cantonment Board of Bahawalpur and witnessed first-hand the needs of the underserved Christians. Maha, while living in Pakistan, experienced challenges and biased actions towards herself, her family and Christians around her. This motivated her to achieve education in Public Health and use her knowledge to support underserved Christians in Pakistan.
Together they have supported various initiatives to help Christians in Pakistan. These initiatives include providing meals to poor families and orphan children, raising funds and purchasing Bibles for churches that were in need and financially supported in building and restoring churches that were either destroyed in acts of religious persecution or were needed in the community.
Their desire to minister and serve on a larger scale inspired the creation of I Shall Not Want Ministries (ISNW). ISNW Ministries was born out of a deep calling and conviction to support the Christian minority, especially those who are underserved and struggle to meet basic daily needs or access education and opportunities for growth. Despite these hardships, many continue to live in unwavering faith that God will provide. Samroon and Maha desire to not only provide short term aid to Christian communities thru the ISNW but also support initiatives that will have a far-reaching impact in the lives of Christians and their neighbors.
Our Belief
(“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 5:16)
ISNW Ministries believes that God is calling us to stand with these believers. Historically, support for underserved Christians in Pakistan has only come in response to extreme religious persecution, with little to no ongoing aid to help them rise above their circumstances.
ISNW is committed to filling this gap by providing consistent support and creating lasting opportunities for empowerment and upliftment.
